Dr. McGrady graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1995. Following dental school, she advanced her education at the University of Iowa. In the three years she spent in Iowa, Dr. McGrady obtained a certificate and fellowship in Hospital Dentistry. She also received a Master's Degree in Dental Public Health. Dr. McGrady's research focus was access to dental care for children with special healthcare needs. Dr. McGrady practiced in Santa Fe, New Mexico for 10 years and started her family. Once her kids were all in school, Dr. McGrady moved to San Diego and continued her education at the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed a two year certificate program in Pediatric Dentistry through a partnership between UCLA and Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego. With an ongoing interest in access issues, Dr. McGrady evaluated access issues for autistic children at the age of transition. Dr. McGrady has remained on staff at Rady Children's Hospital since completing her residency in 2011. She became Chief of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Oral Surgery in 2018. With experience in both general and pediatric dentistry, Dr. McGrady can offer care for the entire family. Our practice strives to ease access to care for children and families who need a little extra time and attention with becoming comfortable at the dental office.
